Corpus Callosum

Cabinet

Corpus Callosum is the part of the brain that allows the left and the right cerebral hemisphere to communicate. If connection is cut, the two halves work seperately. Is the same thing possible with a piece of furniture? If the task is defined by the abilities of the two halves and split in two parallel processes - without a connection - how will this affect the outcome?
